For ten year old Jackie Evancho the internet is what made her be on everyones television sets. Even though she was on America's Got Talent she wouldn't have been if it wasn't for her Youtube video submission. Jackie didn't go to New York or fly out to LA in the hopes she would be noticed in the sea of thousands. She on the other hand sent in a video over youtube where the people decided she deserved a shot. Like others in the competition she didn't have to have tons of auditions before being in the semi finals.....she had one and then BAM she is americas sweetheart. In the comfort of her own home she became a sensation.
Not only does she have the voice of an angel she is as sweet as one. Which came across very well when she was interviewed and is truly an angel. It's hard to believe that such a magnificent voice can come out of such a tiny person.
Although Jackie did not win the competition ...she came very close. She got second place but in the long run she won the hearts of americans with her delicate beautiful voice. She has now appeared on Oprah and many other talk shows, was on Wizards of Waverly place ( for a ten year old this is probably a bigger deal then Oprah ) and during Christmas time sold an outrageous amount of cd's for the holiday. Even though she is making her way up now she still remembers where she came from and keeps a good head on her shoulders..... Hopefully it stays that way !
